Listmania May 31, 2011

Thoughts of the day: It is really hard to make others like/love me more, even just a little more. However, I can always love myself more.

LOL of the day: JB complained about the use of his initials (for good reasons, but I am going to keep it that way).

WCS figures that I learned today: knee pops and funky knees.

The songs that I like at the moment:
Genie in a Bottle by Christina Aguilera

Hold It against Me by Britney Spears

Listmania May 30, 2011

Sleepless night: Pon and Zi are always good for such nights.

The LOL of today: I told people that I would go to the concert on the west lawn of the capitol and then realized that the concert had taken place yesterday.

Disappointment of today: Maryland lost to Virginia in NCAA lax final. Thank you, JB, for keeping me posted with the scores over gchat.

Accomplishment of today: we (the guys actually) managed to move the big sofa into CF's new tiny studio room.

Restaurant that I dined in today: Hamburger Hamlet
Their California market salad was great as usual. My mom and I also endowed ourselves with the Ultimate cake for 2. YUMMY!

Sequel to the ice-cream analogy

Things happen, don't they? And fast. Before I could finish my thoughts about the analogy between the olive oil ice-cream and relationship, I have already had something more to write as a "sequel" to it.

I mentioned that I needed to make up my mind and dealt with it "the way I want". I guess that "the way I want" has changed due to what just happened very recently. I decide to bend a ear for listening, give hugs for warmth, and offer shoulder for you to cry on if needed. As you walk forward and move on with your life, I will let go. Don't bother turning around, because I will still stay where I am so that you can find me when you need. I won't leave until you can walk forward far enough that you don't need to/can't see me anymore. Then it will be time for me to take a bow and retreat from your life as if I have never been there.

If you are merely a "habit", why am I feeling, um, sad?

Restaurants I dined in today: Wong Gee, American Tap Room, and Jaleo. (A lot, I know.)

New movie I watched today: Midnight in Paris. JB and I planned to watch the 8:00PM show, but the seats were sold out at 8:00PM and 8:45PM, so we ended up watching the 9:30PM show. I absolutely love the casting. Owen Wilson did a good job, so did Rachel McAdams though her part is really a tiny proportion of the movie. I don't like the ending though. (He DID escape from where he used to be. Not to the 1920s, but to Paris. Yeah, right. That doesn't count?!)

The movie I want to watch again: A Room with a View.

The song I am in love with: Let's do it (Let's fall in love)

Daily highlight:
A walk from Bethesda downtown to north Bethesda around mid-night. The weather was SO awesome and I was under alcohol (lightly).

I decided to make a list of things that I wanted to do.

Helado de aceite de oliva con cĂtricos texturados (Olive oil ice cream with grapefruit) from Jaleo
Yes, I could definitely taste the olive oil. No, I don't think that I will order it again.
I actually had some interesting thoughts when I ate it. I will try to put those thoughts in words in the next post.

Things that I enjoyed today: DANCE!!!!

Daily discovery: I have made the correct decision! Yeah, I was so damn right!!!!

Daily frustration:
1) I just realized that others have much more fancier dreams than I do.  I am totally incapable of having such dreams and it seems that I have missed lots of fun. My friend JB even started to train himself for having lucid dreams, which will enable him to control what he dreams. Sweet!
2) Apparently I turn by my shoulders when I dance, not by my lower body. Need to fix it.

The song that I am loving: Rhythm of Love by Plain White T's

Food that I enjoyed today: French toast at Pluto's diner

Word/expression that I learned today: meek

Something that I am sure of: the rapture didn't happen.

A list I started to work on today: my favorite non-classic Viennese waltz music (unfinished)
  1. You and Me (Lifehouse)
  2. Turning (Suzanne Ciani)
  3. Breakaway (Kelly Clarkson)
  4. Kiss from a Rose (Seal)
  5. Little Suzie (Michael Jackson)
  6. I Put a Spell on You (Creedence Clearwater Revival)
  7. Prologue (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone OST)
  8. Waltz for the Moon (Final Fantasy VIII OST)
  9. Fallin' (Alicia Keys)
  10. ...

My discovery of great dance vid today: Viennese Waltz by Professional Dancers in Blackpool at Strictly Come Dancing 2009

Restaurant visited for lunch today: Yuraku

Movie I watched today: Gnomeo and Juliet. I think that it is a very cute movie, so am wondering why it got poor rating.

Movie I wanted to re-watch today: (of course) Shakespeare in Love. I didn't re-watch it because I still consider it too cheesy.

Word I learned today: commando

Listmania?

Wow, long time no blogging. Should I start with "dear blog"? I decided to create a list of things from everyday life as a brief record and/or reminder, so I will start from today. :]

My appreciation: internet and social network/gadget
A friend in Japan just went through a 4.0-level earthquake. I got to know that she's safe in an hour through FB and talked to her over gchat in another two hours.

My wish: Dear fish, please breed~~~

My congratulations: To my good friend XW and her fiance for expecting their first baby in six months; to my future PI for a new member to his family: a baby girl.

My funny eavesdrop: In junior/miss dress section in T. J. Maxx, a lady said to her teenage daughter as they were picking dresses for the daughter," No, honey. Try to find something pretty that covers your body and makes you look like a 13-year-old."

Food I am craving for: sushi buffet from Yuraku

Food I want to cook: Butter-less apple crumble

Word I learned: twang
